Had a great couple of days with chums,Rhodri,Ben and Jay,terrible weather friday, glorious yersterday, but gear performed faultlessly and very well.

All shot with 1DMK3 and 70-200/ 24-70.
1
Sneaked this shot behind the togs and liked it.

Hi mate, what a fantastic weekend that was!

#2 & #6 are my favourites of the set. #1 doesn't quite work for me as the car is partially covered by one of the togs - nice idea though.

How's the foot holding up? Still can't believe you walked all the way into Monument and back in so much pain.

Thanks for the company over the weekend, had a really good laugh and I now have a new word to use to describe idiots on the road!

Wasn't it ever, stunning I reckon ,absolutely fab ,and the places we went too were worth a bit of hard labour.
I loved that last place, and reckon that spot in the dip with the water that I mentioned on the way back could be a killer if it is wet again,I reckon they were way over a ton through there.
Foot is pain :),but some things have to be done .
God ,I was a grizzly old bugger, but we certainly had the craic.

Splodge on old bean:D

You certainly do!
Nothing gets close to seeing the top WRC drivers in action from literally inches away ,there skill and bravery is breathtaking.

Vastre, Great stuff! All top drawer.. love #2 , not a tabard in sight!

Thanks, and you had a great weekend too ,well impressed with your work.
Thanks again folks,
Pons

Great shots! It looks like the weather wasn't the best to stay there and take photos, but you did it very well. Congratulations for this awesome set.

2,3,5&6 are superb. I did try and get up to meet Ben & Jay on Halfway but they'd already moved onto pastures new. Monument! Glad you had a good weekend.

Cheers for the kind words, the weather was very mixed ,very windy, wet and cold friday, glorious saturday ,with great light.
That said the modern gear takes it all in it's stride ,rain or shine,so it makes it a lot more bearable even if one is shivering, which the IS really earns it's extra premium on those days.

Was a terrific event !
We went off to Monument where the boy Rhodri ensured we all got more than our share of walking:o
Here are some togs on friday at the infamous watersplash on infant river Wye.
