What camera/lens are you using? I'm using a EOS400D with the Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens for the first picture, but for the second i'm using the EF 75-300mm. squashed wrote in post #11281833 A curves adjustment on # 1 and it will pop !! Simply re-open the first image (flower) in Photoshop (or whatever program you're using) and make a levels adjustment by dragging the highlight slider to the left until it reaches the edge of the histogram where it starts to curve upwards. This will brighten the image and give it more life. After that, just play with the contrast and boost it a bit and you'll see a totally different image. Shouldn't take you any more than a minute or two. "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer
