A week or so ago I dragged one of my strobes out into the garden to take some pictures of the boys with the Autumn leaves. It was quite a sight - I had to piggyback three extension cords to get the light where I wanted it.

A week later I have a set of Quadras for my birthday. Yay!

Great job getting light into the eyes to show their color! I would have prefer less busy clothing, all that text is visually distracting, but still....really great shots.

Thank you all for the lovely comments.

suecassidy - I SO agree about the shirts. I used to be more strict about it, but honestly have nearly given up lately on the clothing battleground. :)

blondine - you are SO correct about the little guy. He's major fun though. ;)

that's what I call 'double-trouble!' Have 2 of them myself ... quite a bit older, (HS senior and college jr) though!

Great shot. WB and focus nailed. Not sure if the shot was cropped at all, but I'm left looking for a bit more of the BG color.

Thanks guys! :)

This shot was only cropped to the 8x10 ratio. It was shot pretty tight.

Here is a wider version. With less focal length there is a lot more dof. I wish I'd thought to change the aperture when I changed the focal length. It was a race with the sunset though and all I could think was "get the shots quickly!". lol

Athena, if that is the case, you are smart to just let them wear what they feel good in! I didn't know if you had given that any thought or not, so I mentioned it. If that is what it takes to get such great smiles and cooperation...the end justifies the means. ; ) Love it!
