It shows up as $999.

Coupon code "BF8JNEEK" drops it to $899. That's a nice deal with free shipping.

This camera starts to look much better at this price point. Hmmmm......

Starting to look tempting. The Newegg deal was good except for us CA residents having to pay almost 10% in sales tax. With Amazon's no tax and free shipping it's looking pretty sweet.

It's not a bad price at 999, it's just better at 899.

Plus, I'm guessing the 60D will be discounted even more as we head into the holiday season.

That's a good thing.

The discount code should be "D7000". :) While I say that jokingly, I do firmly belive that we have that camera to thank for the 60Ds early price re-alignment.

So...just off the phone with SHD...I had purchased a 24-70 f/2.8L USM. Very nice guy on the phone, Adam. Actually talked me out of the sale. Apparently the one I was looking at has a plastic mount...he says it doesn't fit as well as the steel mount...forget that! I canceled the order.

Moral of the story though...great customer service...very helpful and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them. The price on the USA version is $1299.
