Just heard this story from my brother...who read it in the photographic trader classifieds ,so don't take it as absolute fact...

Aparently some guy is selling his EOS 300V because he mistakenly bought the wrong model-he thought he had bought a 300D !

I suppose the name is easy to confuse, especially if one is new to digital. But how on earth does one go into a shop, buy a camera for an obviously unreal low price and not realize something is not right??

If anyone want's to try to confirm the story, the add should be in the current issue of photographic trader (an australian publication-hope i got the name right)

He mustn't have asked about a memory card or EF-S lenses, crop factor, .raw, .jpg etc. etc.... just walked in and bought :p

One would hope that the mention of any of these by a person who's buying a film camera would ring some alarm bells in the mind of the person selling the camera... unless, of course, they just really want to offload the film body :p

All the more reason to do your research beforehand!

Ha ha thats funny. By any chance is your brother a graduate with a BA in Philosoihy? My brother is and he is like that, he'd do something like that and has. Just laughing my head off at that, crazy.

But at least you have something you can remind him about for the rest of your lives "Hey you remember when you bought a film camera and thought it was a digital?" LOL.
