These are just a few of my shots from this past weekend. I have many more of the London Eye/Big Ben/National Gallery that are not posted. Was a really great weekend, and with the sun going down at 5pm it made it really easy to get tons of night shots in! Needless to say I never got free until later on to take them because was too busy eating or doing something else! My third time to the city, studying in Birmingham for the semester... will be longing to come back when I am back in the states in late December.

>Shot with: Canon 30D, 10-22mm, CPL (long story), Tripod. Not really too much PP with the shots. After looking at them a bit more blown up I feel the red on the bus might not be strong enough at first glance. Thoughts? C&C appreciated.

#1: Reflection off the bus

#2: Edited Piccadilly shot

#3: Unedited Piccadilly shot

#4: Cropped shot of above

#5: London Eye at night... no guards here tonight to stop photographers from using tripods. Also I noticed it was not changing colors this weekend. Not sure what the pattern is on that, because its been different every time I have been here. But tons of tripods out in the 'no tripod' zone so I took mine out for a quick shot before heading to Piccadilly Circus for the night.

Yeah I really was shocked how much it felt like winter, but then again here it pretty much is winter already!

Thanks, I find them my favorite of the four shots at Piccadilly also because they are pretty much straight from my card.

Nice shots. I have one very similar to your eye shot but never had an issue with a tripod there. Though it probably helps that we were usually there after closing and the only people that bothered us were the drunks that just got off the booze cruise ;) Also heading there for New Years.

Yeah I know what you mean. I encountered tons of drunks too, but they don't really cause too much of a problem. Well, a good thing about getting there earlier when the Eye is still running is you can get the time lapse shot of the Eye in motion. And the previous times I was there it changed colors so it made for a really good shot. I might dig it up and post it later. It was cool because they had a Halloween theme on glass at the bottom.

Great shots - especially the first one. Gives me some ideas when my wife and I visit in December.

Thanks. Yeah I got a few more I'll post later. I had a really good shot composition wise of Big Ben from a different perspective than you see, but for some reason never could get it to work good enough. What time you going to be there in December? I'll be there the 17/18 and leave 19th.
