Took these at a local park one evening while looking for some winter migrants to photograph that are moving through the area. The GBH is full-frame and the Bluebird is cropped quite a bit. Thanks for looking.

Nov 16, 2010 10:51 | #10 Thank you for the comments Eric. He does look pretty rough. He was preening trying to straighten up while we were sitting there. Jack Cooper wrote in post #11288623 Nice work. That Heron is one mean dude. Thanks a lot Jack, He does look grumpy at that angle. Nighthound wrote in post #11289782 Very nice Brad, like the light a lot in these. The juvi Great Blues tend to look a little scruffy. Thank you Steve, It's very much appreciated. The light was fading very fast and I had to get at least a few keepers from these two. kenn3d wrote in post #11290712 Two real nice shots Brad, That Bluebird crop held up very well... what lens/combo gives you 840mm? And about how far was the Bluebird shot? good work on both of these, Kenn Thanks a lot Kenn. I was using my 600f/4 with the 1.4tc attached. The Bluebird was about 40 yards away, give or take. At first I wasn't going to process the Bluebird shot but I gave it a try and it turned out pretty decent. I had to take off my TC to get a decent shot of him because he was so close. dbriz wrote in post #11291919 Good looking shots Brad... the heron has some interesting light, nicely done. db Thank you very much Dave. I wish I was there a little bit earlier to have more time with this guy in the golden hour. kmunroe wrote in post #11292769 very nice shots Brad Thanks kmunroe. Brad
