The edit by chucking fluff looks pretty good as he's managed to bring detail out in the foreground that the original didn't have.

Software used: Photomatix Pro and Photoshop. IMO the sky needs to be brought out as much as possible, which Chucking Fluff's version does not achieve to this extreme extent. Canon EOS Rebel XS | Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC | Tair 11a (135mm f/2.8, M42, manual) | Cheapo aluminum tripod from dealextreme.

I like the detail you managed to bring out of the buildings on the second one but the sky looks really unnatural and really over baked in both of these.It's almost like someone was dropping napalm on the horizon. The haloing is even worse on these ones but that's just a minor detail. I'd like to see what someone with some real HDR skills could do with these. Who's the local HDR expert around here?
