Taken a few nights ago from the top of a parking deck. This is a crop of a 30 second exposure at F/29. I love the way it looks but the lights on the left are a bit distracting. I couldnt really do anything about that though. Cool? Not cool? What would you do differently?

It's interesting... never seen that done before, and it's though provoking and has a lot of potential, but that's just not a particularly flattering angle and framing - can't suggest much except keep walking around wherever you're allowed to, hoping to hit the jackpot.

Cheers,
Tony

Very cool, I like it! The bright lights do take a little bit away, but better with them than not at all.

I think the idea to shoot a plane on slow exposure is a great one, but as I can't actually see the plane it just looks like a picture of a white line to me.

Good idea though, try it again and maybe it'll work better next time.

I actually think it has potential!!

If you can get to a vantage point where there are more (runway) blue lights and remove those bright attention grabbing lights on the left.

Thanks for the replies. It's obvious that this picture has no artistic qualities but that really comes down to location. Once I got to the top of the parking garage I knew it wasn't the best but I'm new to photography and am experimenting a lot so I got what I could and wanted to see what people had to say about the general idea.

Next time I'm going to see if I can get a better location without getting arrested in the process haha.

Be prepared and you could capture an interesting shot of the approaching police red and blue flashing lights. hehe.

Instead of trespassing or getting yourself into trouble you could always buy/rent a powerful zoom lens.

I also think this idea has potential and I look forward to your second attempt.

Oh no I would never trespass. That's what I meant by not getting attested.

I like your idea though. I may look into renting one. Thanks!
