Hi, I'm getting into photog and just did my first shoot with a mother and daughter, well mostly the daughter. CC always welcome, I learned so much from this, esp the fact that kids have like 10 second attention spans! Here we go:

So, I basically tried to stick to rule of 1/3s in cropping. I put these up because I felt they had the most to talk about. I'm curious what people think of the mother/daughter crops, I had a little to work with honestly but am willing to post the originals and exifs if requested. What is the easiest way to extract and post online an exif, btw? Again thank you for looking and I am even willing to get slammed if these are just terrible.

I like them. Looks like you were shooting with the sun high so that is why you have some harsh shadows in some of the pics. Try shooting early in the morning as the sun rises or start about 30 minutes to an hour before sunset. The sun will be much nicer to you. #3 could have use some fill flash so the mom and girls face wouldn't be under exposed. My favorites are #1 and #5.
