A couple more captures from the other morning. I was amazed how still the water was in the Herron shot, just like a mirror. The Yellow Billed Spoonbill was a treat for me as I rarely see them around here.

Nice shots, Mitcon. The spoonbill pic is sweet.
I can't believe how glassy the water is in the first shot.

That is some CALM water in #1. Very nicely done.

Reflections are nice here but the first image the bill blends all to well with the background on the bank. Second image is nearly perfect a little warm on some feathers but if shot raw you probably cold reduce that to almost no warm areas on the bird.

Thanks all for the great comments, I know I should shoot more in RAW if not only RAW. As said before I'm a bit lazy on the PP side of things, that means more working on the computer. Also to be honest I have to learn how to play with the RAW image better. I totally agree with you on the background in the first image Eric.

I don't like busy backgrounds as I find them too distracting and try to avoid them. But I couldn't do much about it in this case and really loved how still the water was. With some luck I'll get a better opertunity sometime :D
