This was taken a couple years ago in Yellowstone. She was hunting and stopped to check me out. I worked my way ahead of her and she was so intent on her hunting that she came close enough that I am sure I could have touched her. I am also sure I would have pulled back a stub. Coyotes are one of my favorite animals to watch and photograph. The wolves seem to have considerably reduced the coyote population in Yellowstone. In a print on the wall, it looks like she is looking at you wherever you are in the room. Canon 1D2, 600 lens, full frame.

Beautiful! They're one of my favorite animals to see and photograph, too.
