Hi I have never had any trouble locating the correct raw plug for photoshop CS with any other camera that I've owned or friends have owned but now I can't seem to get CS to recognise my 350D raw files... I used the one at this url

http://www.adobe.com …sp?ftpID=2940&fileID=2770 (external link)

Am I using the incorrect one?

I'm bloody confused... my capture one software seems to work ok with the raw files though...

CS1 won't recognise 350D RAW files, you have to upgrade to CS2 to do that. Alternately you can use RawShooter Essentials (free), or the Adobe RAW to DNG convertor to convert to digital negative and open that in CS.

You can download a program from Adobe that will convert your CR2 files to DNG (digital negative) files that CS1 will be able to read.

Alternatively you could buy Capture One LE or Capture One Pro from Phase 1 which in a recent mag test came out top for RAW image processing and IMO is excellent (I'm still using the trial and haven't bought yet).

Good Luck m8 :)

Use Raw Shooter Essentials 2005 , it's as good as Capture One (maybe even better in some areas) and the price is right.........

It's free ;)

I've ended up deciding to run with capture one as I have the benfit of tehtering my 350D to my laptop during shoots, I guess in the end this isn't so bad.

Thanks for your replies

Can't you use the Canon software 'EOS Capture v1.3' which came with your camera to achieve this?

G'luck with C1 though
