You still have the option of changing to other styles or doing custom adjustments. Third party softwares are not set up to use the picture style parameters that are tagged to the RAW file. Alan Myers

As said already... picture styles have no effect on the raw file. Chas P

Picture styles will also effect what you see on the camera's LCD while shooting RAW. Not that the LCD is all that accurate to begin with. Perfect answer.
