These are just a few of the pictures i took from this year September 2010 out of Anchorage Alaska....The weather around McKinley that morning was not looking good....50/50 chance of going....As they were monitoring the weather conditions and wind up around there....Close to the takeoff time it was looking better...They decided to go into the general area.....We could not see McKinley or did we go the intended planned route...Which of course would have been even better...Overall i thought it was very cool to see what we did see.....I actually sat in the co-pilots seat....No...I did not endanger us by playing with the controls.....LOL....Thanks......

Those are some spectacular shots. Great that you made your flight for this high vantage point.

No we did not get to do the landing on a Glacier.....Weather was the problem in the area we were also supposed to go....It was one reason i took this specific Tour....It was supposed to actually circle McKinley also....We did land on a lake though coming back down.....

I still enjoyed it all though......They were very safety conscious with it all.....I just rolled with whatever was going to happen....I picked this date 6 months out....My luck.....LOL.........

The thing is.......Later that day the weather cleared out...but i was heading down to Homer and coming back home after that....

Thanks.....
