Hi all - Had this idea and tried putting together a "studio" literally with the sheet off my bed, etc. Any ideas to improve or reshoot this image? Thanks!

Interesting idea and it already looks nice. Some suggestions for improvement.
You might shorten the drop by about a third and make the tablets or smarties stream just a bit denser.
Experiment with the colour of the smarties (or whatever) and the lighting to make them as contrasting as possible.
I am sure this one took many shots. The more you take the greater the chance you'll get the one... :)

Don't know what you did for editing, but you might want to watch your blacks. There are a few patches that appear dark grey on my screen.

I would also like to see slight more open shadows, but very cool, reminds me of one I did a couple years back with money.

Thanks guys. I was shooting and "modeling" so will definitely try to shorten the drop and make it more dense. I'll up the highlights in Lightroom to lighten the stones in this version.

John - I actually sloppily painted a black layer around the action in Photoshop. I didn't notice the grey spots on my monitor, but it's only a macbook screen, so will go back and do a better job painting. Do you happen to know if there's an easier way to totally black out the background in an image like this?

Thanks!

Thanks Syphlix. It's soft because I pre-focused and then jumped into the frame. I'll try this again with another person, which should help a lot.
