Hi guys just thought id let everyone know who is a looking at a XRite ColorChecker Passport.

I have done a small review with as close to "real world" as plausabe. http://davidreidphotography.com …/do_you_need_a_color_card (external link)

Its just a basic review however gives you an idea on how it does what it does.

happy to reply here or on blog if you have any questions.

+1  I've been using the CCP for the last year and love it bw!

When you set a CWB and use the camera profile in CSx or LR, you really get the full benefits of the CCP.

David, which profile did you use for the first images?

Hi Hollis, there is no profile on the first image the profile was only actioned on the images which have "xrite color profile" metioned in the text.

The other calibration would have been ACR 4.4 and Standard in Lightroom.

thanks for the review. My first glance at the product made me hope it could do what it appeared that it could do. My whibal card has failed me in the past in situations with mixed lighting. (did a wedding recently with tungsten and fluorescent lights in the same room) The post-processing was gruelling and the most time consuming ever. I'm picking up one of these and hopefully it will shave some time and guesswork out of these types of situations.

Your review gives me more confidence at spending the hundred bucks this will cost... so thanks :)
