This is my first attempt at off-camera flash. I had a very impatient model so I didn't get to experiment very much, but does anyone have any thoughts that might help me?

Very nice but that l/h leg looks like an overworked stretch armstrong ie it seems disproportionately long compared to the other.

technically, pretty nice. Focus tack sharp, WB looks great. The old addage for posing models says, 'if it bends, bend it. If they have two of them, make them look different.

The boy's legs appear so long because of the boots. Maybe could have fold both away from the lens and had him lean on one arm to create better body lines for him.

but it looks like you have the tough part down--exposure, WB and sharpness.

Very nice. Like other have said, sharp focus, etc. The only thing that's weird to me is the tilted apple basket, but I'm assuming you were set up on a hill.

I think the apple basket is tilted because of the slanted angle of the photo, which may also be the cause of the disproportioned leg?... the slight change in angle might make all the difference. Idk. I like the contrast of colors though
