The first looks like a juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron. 2nd might be a cooper's hawk.

thanks for the quick response, that is why i really like this forum, i also had a first for me on seeing a bald eagle this morning , it was about 150 yds out though and photo is not that good, but i was suprised to see it,,,
