I use cs3 on my laptop and have done so with no problems, until now. I just got a new wireless Epson printer, and realized that this is the cause of my problem. Any time I try to open a file in photoshop, it more or less just stops responding and I must ctrl+alt+del. I removed the printer and viola, photoshop runs normally.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, was there a solution other than removing the installed printer?

What version of windows?
What printer?
What driver?

Its Windows Vista (i dont want to upgrade to Win 7 on this machine), an Epson Worforce 520 printer. I installed it using the setup disk, so I assume it pulled the needed drivers from there.

Try updating the driver?
Epson website probably has one.
