You have some nice action and I like the faces in 1, 3, 4, and 6. In general, the tighter the shot the more I like your image. Next time, shoot it tighter, crop it tighter yet (especially with busy backgrounds), and don't forget to shoot portrait as much or more than landscape.
Your first shot is a good example. It has wonderful emotion and body language but because of the landscape orientation, you've got lots of stuff included that detract from your image such as the ref, #8, and #67. This same moment would be 10x as dramatic if shot in portrait where #4 would fill the image and then you could fine tune with cropping.
Image #4 is great because you see 6 eyes in the faces of the 3 players and you are tight enough to appreciate the expressions of those faces. Newspapers love "Two Faces and the Ball" and this one is even better with three faces and the ball.
#6 needs to be cropped tighter. The faces are there and the closer you crop, the more those faces come alive in the pic.
A little fill flash would have been great for the last two shots but I realize that you may not have brought a flash to a day football game. Shots that include a sizable amount of a white murky sky will often tend to underexpose the subject.
