Neat shot but it makes me feel very cold.

I like it. Might like it better with a slightly blue cast. Might clone out the truck.

Early winter this year.

And you're welcome to it, along with the other 400+ inches of snow you're going to get. ;)

I hope not! Average is about 2 - 3 big 8-12" storms and a lot of 2-4" ones. Total annual is normally about 60".

Now Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton Ski resorts, do average 500 inches per winter. That's way up the hill from my house, though.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Great capture.

Love the composition and the sense of motion.

All this talk of snow has me thinking I might go down to the beach this arvo just because I can! :p

I like it just as it is! A great fine art shot. DOF creates great depth and dimension, shutter speed is perfect on the moving snow in the bkg to give it life, and the composition is good.

I love the 4 seasons, I love the snow. I especially love the snow at night, which seems so quiet and peaceful. Nice capture. Good practice for the rest of the winter. ;)

just a few of my thoughts...

This would make a nice Christmas card. The texture and tonality work well here. The frame moves well too. In particular the sparse foreground tree on the right side complimenting the frame heavy foreground tree on the left side. Nice movement foreground to background. Nice work in obscuring a modern scene and bringing forward a more romantic or older era feel.
