Great job on the harrier, Jim. The IQ is outstanding as I would expect from you.

Would that bird be a juvenile? All the adult males I've seen around here have been silver gray in color. With all the brown on this one, I would have mistakenly(?) called it as a female.

So much to learn, so little time. :)

Yes - I think it is an immature male. You can see the gray starting to come in on the wings. We thought it was a female at first, but after looking closely, it appeared to be a young male.

Karen

I always go to Bosque in early November to get the spectacular fall color bgs. By Thanksgiving, most of the fall color is gone.

The pink bgs for the Crane images are pre-dawn skies that glow a wonderfull pink color almost every morning. The low light forces slow shutter speeds and it is very difficult to get sharp images when doing pan blurs like the ones above.

Wowsa! Jim - the whole series looks fantastic, but those Northern Harrier shots are just exceptional.

Everytime I see great shots like this it just re-inforces to me that one of these Novembers I have to make the pilgrimage...

A wonderful set Jim,

My mind boggles to imagine a hand-held technique with such a massive rig. But you obviously got it all under control. Those Harrier shots are fabulous.

Thanks for posting these and best regards,

Kenn
