First off it's only been about a year since I've been in here sorry has been a crazy year.

I don't shoot many Seniors but I was pretty happy with these of Jennie.

Canon 5DmkII ~ 125th ISO 100
Canon 24-105L~ f5.6
Nissin Di866 flash through a 36" umbrella

Any thoughts ?

I like the angle in #1, it kind of throws me off though with her not looking at the camera.

@ RL Yes #1 has been softened up and she looks "high" ? #2 has had no softening other that what uploading does to them. Thanks for your insight.

Nice job Ed. They turned out very well. I do like the camera angle on the first image but I am sure others may not. It all a matter of personal preference. The true test is if your client likes the image. It sounds like she was very happy and that's all that counts. Again, nice images.

Thanks George, I did my best here the first pose just came as " Eh lets try this" ~ Maybe too extreme IDK. Was actually her first time being photographed in this way so maybe that was a good thing for me lol

The foreshortening in #1 is a rather interesting take on things, but it is not flattering to her tummy region. :P I also find the thing that she has hanging from her neck in #1 slightly distracting and I think the picture would be better off without it.

Nice work, though, and as the others have said it is what your client thinks that really matters - not what anyone else thinks.

Thank you firefighter, I like the pose probably because I couldn't find a better one from this angle ~ Trying to add some new things to my lacking of poses book .

IrishK , I think her mother some what forced her to wear that gold chain around her neck what are ya to do ~ I see what you mean about the belly region was also hoping the pose would slim her a bit not exaggerate in ones eyes ~ but that's why we're here to try and learn :)

Ed
