Current 40D owner planning to buy a 7D. I really don't want a refurb, so please don't go there.

The current price after rebate (which ends Wednesday) is $1599. The price just before the current rebate started was actually $1499 on Amazon. Should I go ahead and order the 7D now, or wait and hope the price is still $1599 or better on Friday?

If you want it now I'd buy it. I wouldn't expect the 7D to be seen on any of the Black Friday offerings.

Don't buy from butterfly - they have been known as a very poor reseller.

If you want the 7D - I'd just get it and enjoy it. I don't think any cameras other than the Rebels will be on special.
