Howdy All,

Maybe it was just this batch of backpacks but I felt compelled to write this post to save someone else some annoying cut fingers from the machine-cut, sharp edges on the hook-side of the Velco patches inside Lowepro backpacks. The Velco strips are cut in such a way that the corners end-up being very sharp and pointy. This may apply to any model but I just bought my Flipside 300 yesterday. My first finger-cut (3/8" long and deep enough to bleed) happened almost in front of the salesperson. He supplied the Band-Aid. (He must have felt sorry for me since he dropped the price 20% ;).)

I got home and started to organize the inserts. It didn't take me more than seconds before I did it again ! I carefully removed all of the inserts and neatly trimmed-off all of the tiny, pointy-sharp corners with a nail trimmer. This left those new corners much less sharp and far less likely to do any more damage.
