I've decided since I've gotten ok at photographign train's i'm going to take up church photography. Also there's alot of them and they're old.

I'd like tips on angles i havent though of and ways to compose images better.
P.S. it's Sweden and winter so this is as bright as it ever get's

....well not really but not by much.

Overall a nice enough series with no.3 being particularly good. The other shots suffer a little from either a lack of a specific subject (no.5) or clutter which distracts, but no.3 has all the right elements with a range of brown tones that suit the shot very well. Have you had to do much pp?

I like these from image 3 on!
IMHO
Image 1 - The wall in the foreground is distracting to me..I would crop
Image 2 - has a beautiful apparition in the foreground..ohh wait its the shadow of your tripod/camera (not being mean..my attempt at humor).

Image 3 and beyond...I really enjoyed...very eerie and macabre. Some may say that that there is a color correction error, but I like the color cast and the feel it provides for your images....!

PSS... Dont center the church in the middle of the frame...rule of thirds...youve got the idea in your tree branches and your horizon line, but move the church off center a bit and youre golden

GOODJOB

Just went through the shots one more time..be sure to watch your horizons..some seem askew and that detracts from the power of your images

It's nice to know that my ineptitude in the darkroom transfers over to the digital world...

#3 works for me. I like it best. I also like the small lamps on the headstones. Maybe a closer shot of those with the church in the background? You might have to get in the snow for that one. :) Nice series, nonetheless.

I like three, too. And the lamps on the graves is very interesting. Is that a seasonal thing? I agree with Scottdog; making those the subject with the church behind would be terrific! But, these are all interesting and eerie; cloning out the tripod would even redeem that one. Straighten horizons, though.

I like them. They could benefit from the horizons being straghtened and from a white balance correction... other then that I think they're great

I'm not sure about the lamps, i have actually never seen it before.
Usually people light candles and put them in a lamp housing like that to protect against the wind. A month back we had our version of "all hallows eve" then there are lights on every grave and memmory plack on all graveyards in Sweden. I worked that night so i have no pics :(

Glick are you saying my artificial horizon in my 7D is off vmad ;)
