with a twist ;)

Yeah, literally. That 50mm is attached wrong by 90 degrees. (On second glance, more like 120.)

L-R:
EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 (came out in Nov 1990)
EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 USM (came out in June 1992)
EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II (came out in Mar 1995)

This is all three of Canon's EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 lenses. There was also a f/2.8 L version. The II version is a bit sharper than the other two. The USM version focuses a bit faster and quieter. These are Canon's very low cost lenses with all plastic bodies, plastic mounts, no distance scales, no dedicated focus ring (turn the front element to focus). However they are light, tiny, inexpensive, and full frame.

I actually find them at least as sharp as the EF-S 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 that I used to take these pictures. They are about the size of an 18-55 and at only 250g, almost as light. Great for those occasions when you want a telephoto but don't feel like carrying one. One of these will fit easily in a jacket pocket.

Later Canon came out with the EF 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6 USM lenses which were mechanically very similar but 19mm longer and 1mm bigger in diameter and with updated styling.

Had a couple of hours to kill due to bad weather. Took a few shots off my gear. Grouped them based on my preferred usage.

First, 7D: 17-40L is for general use; 100 f/2.8 for macro mostly; 50 and 85 for low light (should've included the 24L); 300 + EX 1.4X for long reach.
