If you're using the adapter for the 1.6x Canon bodies you might want to try the 35/1.4 Ai-S. Unlike the 50/1.2 it has very nice contrast in addition to bokeh wide open.

Yea I'm looking at that lens i really like the bokeh from it looks very nice expensive! how would you stack up against the rokinon 35mm 1.4 T3i griped - rokinon 8mm/rokinon 35 1.4/rokinon 85mm 1.4/

The problem is Nikon discontinued them a few years back but still sell the 50/1.2 so while the 50/1.2 is easy to find you have to hunt around. If you like MF you might also think about the Voigtlander 40mm that I pictured above in the Nikon mount, they also make them for Canon. Though it's an f/2 pancake it exhibits very good bokeh wide open and is really sharp.

But I think I might go with the Nikkor T3i griped - rokinon 8mm/rokinon 35 1.4/rokinon 85mm 1.4/

But I think I might go with the Nikkor I don't show a US version available any longer but I do see Adorama has an import for $799. I would never buy one new, when the price of AF lenses came down you couldn't give these away, everyone wanted AF lenses and it's still that way, I saw one of these in mint condition sit for weeks at $400. If you are considering it you may want to hunt around a bit.

Link ain't working but check amazon and check Nikon's website they have a 24mm 2.8-28mm 2.8 a 20mm ais 2.8 a 105 2.8 a 55 2.8 Marco and of course the all mighty 50 1.2 ais all these lenses you can buy brand new check your info bro..... Got to love these great manual focus lenses my question is the 35mm worth it I love my 1.2 and I'm going pick up the 20mm 2.8 Because something is still sold new doesn't mean it is still in production. I've shot Nikon since 1985 and have seen this play out many times. The 55/1.2 Ai-S which we do know for a fact was discontinued took years to sell out. There are many others that were disontinued in the '90s that remained in dealer inventories for over ten years. Like it or not MF is a very small niche now and not many are sold. Try buying a used 35G for less than 80% of new price. As I said, because something is still sold new doesn't mean it's still in production and don't look for Nikon to confirm or deny it. The only MF Nikon lens I am aware of that sells for a premium is the real 'King of Bokeh' the 58mm Noct and only because again so few were sold when new.
