Home made adapter and it was more versatile than the one I bought. I could do macro and reach infinity by simply retracting the lens. I can't do it with the factory-made one...

quick down/dirty shot of my lenses...
all EF

50mm f1.4
100mm f2.8L Macro
300mm f2.8L IS
70-200 f2.8L mkII
24-70 f2.8L mkII

everyone of them bought USED right here on POT.N except the 24-70. there werent any of the mkII on the used market when i wanted to get it so im the original owner of it...

the 50 is so sharp i was able to see the micro-pores on a model is shot
the 100 im still trying to figure out (macro, dof, shutter speed requirements for low ISO etc etc)
the 300 i just got and expect to get a lot of mileage in the fall at football games
70-200 my workhorse for hockey (and until the addition of the 300, for football too)
24-70 stays on the body almost exclusively

Glad to see you liking the 300mm! I had a lot of fun with it.

i rented one last year from Lensgiant.com and really liked having the reach. i inquired about renting again this year for a game or two and they had sold both of their copies. no reason why, no upgrades from mk I to mk II, just not available...

i just got this one delivered on thursday so Ill be a few months now before its on the sidelines. baseball this summer though...
