That could be me only :o

All tigers, lion, brown bear look depressive & tired looking in their eyes.

Maybe they get sick with the visitors / cameras.

Only the birds have those alert 'keep the eyes on you' sign.

I agree. They all look either depressed or desperate. Not a big fan of zoos.

No need to apologize. I think that you have a point, but fortunately my local zoo is very good, meaning we have good habitats and the zookeepers take great care of the animals, so I don't really experience that so much at my local zoo. I'm happy to say it's not something I've seen firsthand, but I do see it on the photographs I've viewed on this site.

Oh, I get it now, it was just worded funny..

If you said "Does anyone else find that they have a depressed look in their eyes" it would have suggested that it was more open to other's input instead of a random statement, my apologies.

Never mind SnapShot Photos :-)
I don't think I like to shoot those big cats in the zoo any more.
I think that I should check the fish next.

Yup, all animals show emotion in their faces exactly like humans do. For proof, check any Disney movie. ;)

I would imagine that critters that were removed from their natural environments rather than born into captivity are going to exhibit signs of depression just like we would if placed behind bars or in an enclosure we couldn't leave at will.

Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode...
