A friend of mine contacted me to see if I was interested in shooting some pics for her works website. There will be roughly 35-45 final shots total and would be anything from a group shot of the employees to product shots in the warehouse.
So far I've had my fair share of sidework as a senior portrait photographer as well as e-sessions/weddings and occasional family shots but I'm a bit nervous to be shooting for a company. First, I would need to rent the lighting equipment as my current setup wouldn't be powerful enough and I don't quite have enough for my new lighting setup. Second, I'm not sure what specifics I would absolutely need in the contract. Last, but certainly not least, cost.
I know my basic costs for seniors/weddings/etc but I have no clue what to ask for this. It sounds like it will be a full day of shooting along with the full rights to the pictures. I don't want to ask for too little but I also don't know what too much would be and don't want to insult them or myself. I am confident in my work but I just want to pick the minds of those who've moved past everyday portrait photography to a more commercial type of shooting. Any help at this point would be appreciated.
Cliffs:
1) Offered a job shooting misc pics for a company website.
2) Don't know what specifics I need in the contract.
3) Don't have any clue what to charge.
