I have been trying to get a shot of this guy for awhile. He is always around in the morning--but I'm not!
He came by real late this evening-not much light left. Kind of a grainy pic that I ran through neat image. 70-200 2.8L IS

Good catch.... the perch is wonderful - how lucky for you! And now that everyone knows what he looks like, he'll quit hiding so you can get closer. I'm still waiting for my first shot of one of these guys.

Great shot, Bonnie. Tough to get eye details on a head that dark.

Thanks all! Not one of my better shots--but I haven't had a chance to get much else!
I'll keep workin' on getting a sharp shot of him.

Very nice shot. Great perch.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

That's a great shot, Bonnie! I can't remember the last time I saw one of those. Very nice detail if you ask me...

Thanks. Yes, I'm quite lucky, I have a small little grove of older fruit trees where I have hung some feeders---the birds almost always land on the trunks before they go to the feeders.
