A quick search of the boards didn't bring anything up but I may have missed it being shared here before.

Found a portable version of DPP (ver. 3.7.2) that can be run from a USB drive, card, etc for processing Canon RAW files on a system away from home without editing/processing software having to be installed on the system.

Haven't gotten to try it out but I'll report back on how it works when I try it out tomorrow.

Hmm, I've never heard of that one -- I have DPP 3.9.2 happily running on my laptop, but it would be interesting to see how this comes across running on a smaller device like a netbook. DPP refuses to install on a device with a small screen resolution.

Tried it out today, worked without a hitch running from an SD card on an office computer running XP since I couldn't bring my system with me and they wanted photos processed ASAP to get sent for a deadline. Also tried out Gimp portable which also ran without a hitch, both of these are definitely getting brought along with me on a card or USB stick from now on.

Well, sounds cool, except that with laptops frequently loaded with Win7 64 these days I'd do a compatibility test with one of those before hitting the road:)!

Very true! I'll have to look into and report back once I get my hands on one to test.

Also tried it out on a Win Vista x64 system without issues.

Hmm, I'll have to give it a go on mine which I haven't had time to do. Been so swamped with various shoots in between all the dancing.

Thanks for the link. Definitely going to have to check this out. My only laptop is a heavily locked down work laptop and running something from the flash drive would be great.

There is also a new pS cS 5 portable build. it has a pluging folder so you can add ACR 6.3, but no bridge and no pano stitching/hdr.
