I do this cause they sign contracts for tfp that they pic 3-5 photos of there own choosing but they want like the whole CD of edited image. I'm like 3-5 then they can pick. And if they want to purchase any more they can.

How many did you consider usable for your own purposes? Back "in the film days," the photographer gave the other partners in the project contact sheets of all the images and the partners selected as many as they wanted to be printed (by the photographer) and given to them. If any money changed hands, it was no more than the basic cost of printing.

In a true TFP situation, you edit the take down to those that meet your own technical and artistic standards, put them on CDs and hand out the CDs. These people are equal partners and you're supposed to be pulling each other up equally to gain other "real" clients.

That's how it's supposed to be, working with other professionals.

Now, if you're just working with pretty girls who want pictures of themselves, maybe that's a different thing.
