El Monstero - St Louis, MO

Following are a few shots from the El Monstero [most awesome St Louis area Pink Floyd tribute band] 2009 show @ The Pageant,,, getting excited about the upcoming shows in December [will be ~14th show I've been to], and would appreciate any / all C&C. All shots taken with 50D and EF-S 55-250; this year will have the 70-200 with me too. The last link is to my album. Thanks.

#1: Nice, albeit a bit centralised. I think I'd crop a bit off top and right. Or frame a bit different.
#2: One person partly hidden and most light at the drummer (who isn't the point of interest). Bit more room in the "viewing direction" of the singer would have been nice I think.
#3: Needs more space on the left. Nice moment and lighting though.
#4: Crop a bit closer maybe? Moment could be better (interaction) but positioning of the 3 guys in the frame is nice.
#5: Cropped very close at the bottom. Bit more space to the left might have been welcome, as well as a bit more contrast / blacks.

Not a bad set though, certainly taking the lenses into account

René - seriously, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated... will dabble with the originals and see what can do, plus keep in mind for future shots.

Nice shots shadow. They truly are a great show. Looking forward to this year. Perhaps i will shoot them again. I PM'd you with links to my 07 shoot..didnt want to hijack your thread.

NO! Not a hijack at all... seriously, more the merrier. I'll be shooting again [two nights - 18th and then 22nd, on stage ], but with my 70-200 L f4 IS and Tokina 116 which I acquired this year, so while tools are bit better, can't say much for skill set, so much to learn yet. Have seen 'em every year except their 2nd one at the Landing - would be interesting to see them at something like the Fox.
