If anyone here is using the Pro9000MK II, I'm wondering what happens when an ink cartridge runs out. Will it stop printing? Will it let you print an off-color print? I'm getting my first "low-ink" warning and I'm not sure how long I can continue to print.
Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Well I don't have the Epson, but my HP gives a warning and then keeps printing fine for a while and then at some point things get ugly color-wise. From then I'll just print either B&W, text, or noncritical stuff like Web pages. But, I should say I have a second photo printer so I can get away with that stuff. So, at some point you want to only print small until the color looks bad then pop in a replacement.

When an ink cart goes empty, both my Epsons (1400 & CX8400) refuse to print until new cart is installed. Never had one run dry during printing, printer seems to check for enough ink before printing.

I have the mark I version, but it stops printing and tells me to change the cart. I am assuming the mark II does the same.

If you have sent a file to the printer and the out of ink box pops up press the resume button and it will print that file, you will have to change the ink before printing anything else, this happens on most of the canon printers.
