Perspective corrected or No?

So what do you guys think? Is it better to perspective correct an image like this or is the first image ok. Ignore the processing differences obviously.

Definitely perspective corrected all edits aside!!
Thanks for posting this actually, I never really noticed how much of a difference the perspective correction makes for my own personal shots. It's always easier to spot as a third party viewer

be sure to correct for barrel distortion as well. you can see it easily in the left hand side column in the corrected version.

I updated the image to correct the slight barrel distortion. I'm not on my desktop so its difficult to see all the detail on this laptop but I think I got rid of most all of it.

On a separate note, do you think the edit(besides perspective correction) is too much or fairly right on? I tried to bring out the detail in the carpet and other parts of the scene.

It looks well exposed, but I think the ceiling could be a bit brighter. Not sure if this was a paid gig or not, but for a casual shot it looks pretty well done. I'd personally make the shadows a little brighter but I like to see details.
