Nice colors...but the highlights are blown on the water...also I think the birds are the center of interest and they don't stand out.

There are some nice textural qualities around the frame. The light is harsh.

I would crop the top a bit where it appears too dull/foggy. This way the golden area is not centred from the top area - not a good idea..agree with jetcode on the nice textures.
I really don't see that the birds are the subject here....they merely add (a lot) to the scene as a whole.

My only slight critiscism is that the transition from mist to clear air is a little abrupt but that was obviously beyond your control and it is still a fine capture.

I like the overall feel, but I think you have too much floating debris which distracts from the birds. I'd crop a good chunk of the top half off.
