Trying to capture Sunrise

this was my first attempt at capturing the environment during sunrise
Location :- Hussain Sagar lake.

not sure how they turned look to you pros, but i guess they are decent for my crappy standards :D

I think you did a good job for your first attempt at this style and time of day. I think the last two are very nice, I might crop them a bit differently but that is more about my style than yours. One of the things I love about photographing around sunrise is the calm and quiet that often surrounds the space I'm in. I think your pictures of the boaters on the water capture some of that.
Sunrise pics often focus upon the bright colors that come in the sky and clouds right before and after sunrise. Were there colors in the clouds at all that you saw? You don't have to get ND filters to capture the colors but they will help. Keep it up!

Yeah, same as the person above. I would say that your pictures are very 'flat' in colors, and because of that are not as gripping. This has to do with time as he says and then the amount of light allowed in. Not every day you can get a stunning sunrise, but persistence will give you one eventually! keep shooting!

thanks guys....yes even i thought the colors looked flat , but yes...i gotta snap on it more to get enough idea :) , maybe nd filter would help or may be some other settings i may be missing out on..

I like the muted 'flat colours. It makes a change from the much more intense sunsets / sunrises we see more often (mine included). I think this is a lovely set.
