I'm not much into people photography, and I'm a bit confused on how to set the WB on this snapshot. It was taken indoors with a hand held 7D + 100-400, no flash, ambient lighting (multi-colored lights) , EXIF intact.

Here's a resized full frame from DPP, AWB, unprocessed except resizing to 900x600:

For those who have the time, please feel free to post your PP'ed version. Would love to see also how the sharply rendered skin imperfections can be mitigated.

Thanks in advance!

I know you're clearly asking for people to post their versions, but it also might not be a bad idea to turn on image editing in your profile, due to the forum rules. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, Randi.

Is an explicit request to have this particular photo re-worked not enough to satisfy the forum rules? I'm not keen on turning on image editing in my profile because I don't wish to have my other images edited.

Ooooh, well that's understandable... to be honest I'm not sure how that works, sorry! A mod could probably tell you, though.

Since I had the time I did a quick edit. Everything done hastily in LR. Slight WB change, split toning to remove a bit of color cast, several brushes applied to whiten teeth soften skin, brighten the lips, and brighten the eyes slightly. Removed a few blemishes as well. Likely could go further and improve the brightness and contrast more.

Wow... thanks for taking the time to process the capture SnapShot Photos and Steven!!!

@ Steven, kindly please elaborate on what "split toning to remove a bit of color cast" means? Thanks.

It just lets to alter the color of highlights and shadows independently of each other. So you can get rid of some color in the highlights with out introducing a new color to the shadows, or vise versa

With out

Result. Removed some of the pink and brought out the reds of the shirt, with out introducing green to the hair. Its a little bit over done and could be toned down just a hair, and the balance is off. You can see the balance needs to be tweaked to get the proper effect at the hairline. But as I said, quick edit and I wasnt nitpicking :)

I think you need to calibrate your monitor, I'm getting some very washed out grey/blue tones from that.
