Lens Prices - Asian Airports

Hi

I had hoped my first post would included a photo but I have just found out my OH is travelling on Monday, so I have a quick question.

My OH will be travelling through Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai airports over the next week. As I'm looking to upgrade my kit lenses, does anyone know if there are any good places to buy lenses at any of these airports? Would they be much cheaper than in Australia?

Good luck getting a response, I can't imagine having any luck find a place that's going to do that (At least at an Airport)

Singapore is OK (should be 30% cheaper than Australia), HK airport is NO NO.
Check the 'net' price in www.shopbot.com.au 1st.
I normally get my lens from B&H Photo, NY from internet. As long as it under $1000, it will be duty-free imported.

I am not too familiar with international warranties but I think you need to send it to an international Canon repair center (Japan?).

That's better than the only thing I could think of - "old husband"!

All Canon lens is covered for 12 months international warranty and pain free.
Camera body is NOT.
But consider the USA warranty is lots more fussy (thanks for the Yankee ), I got my 550D (T2i) from B&H too.
I saw the 5D2 price in Singapore airport, was about A$2600; I got my 5D2 in JB HiFi Melbourne for A$2900 when it just came out.

This photo was taken in Singapore airport with Canon G11 on my way home from Japan this April. Just taken for the price for my self as future reference at that time.

Just look back the post, Singapore airport should be 10% cheaper than Australia; But B&H Photo price is at LEAST 30% cheaper even with post & handling.

Yeah I've been looking on their site - good prices How long do you find stuff takes to ship over from them?
