Used Photomatix Pro v4.0.2 for merge (3 image) and TMing....Photoshop for some tweaking. The grass and weeds in front of the door were ghosting but Photomatix did well eliminating the most obvious.

Thanks.
Yes, weathered wood is always nice.
BTW Given your previous tests (Sept?), you might be interested to know that the HDRI version I did in Photoshop was awful compared to Photomatix.
I was using PS CS5 because of the excellent anti-ghosting but not always the best in other areas.

Nice shot. I always like the way tonemapping brings out the texture of wood. I also agree that while CS5 does a great job of eliminating ghosting, the colors are warmer and more pleasing when merged using Photomatix. Many of my images I merge using both programs then decide which set I prefer. In either case, I always tonemap using Photomatix.

Thanks navydoc.....agreed....at least for this type of shot. Funny thing is, I was not a big fan of Photomatix a few versions ago.

Very nice except for a bit of remaining ghosting in the vegatation. Maybe crop a little off the bottom and you'd get rid of it. Otherwise great.

Tanks Chino and Jon....can't see the ghosting Jon. In that tangled mess of weeds, doesn't jump out.

It's the weeds that look kind of like poison ivy under the doorway. Maybe not ghosting, but they look soft to me.
