Looks like a list of primes that can be adapted to fit on Canons...

Just how did you come to the conclusion that since it's possible to use other lenses on a Canon body then Canon lenses must be bad ???

Just a list of lenses that have adapters available to mount on Canon bodies and ratings for these lenses. Who doesn't enjoy the thought of having an R mount on their canon? Nothing against canon lenses but...we dont need an adapter to mount our glass to our bodies :P cool find though thanks.

pretty useless if you ask me! Most are beyond nit picking....many new lens's out there. Pretty non-functional list....go ask a sports, wedding, wildlife or even anyone taking picts of there kids if this list is functional! Now....if you are in a perfectly controlled and stationary environment, perfect lighting, no movement, and can take a long time to acquire perfect focus on your subject...then these are great glass choices! If not....stick with the conventional lists that canon, sigma, and tamron offer.....there is probably more award winning shots with these..than with any on the linked list!

Below, is the line that I found most interesting from that link.

"Hope it's helpful. Feel free to add (if Bob and others find this useful...if it's a nuisance, feel free to delete it...) "

Soooooooooooo...... I tried to delete but it would not let me.

actually with a proper focusing screen i get more keepers focusing myself then with AF

what makes an award winning shot has little to do with AF or MF

It can save a lot of money, for those on a budget, to use old manual lenses instead of modern (expensive) AF lenses from Canon etc. This is particularly so if you have moved to digital from a film background and have an old 35mm outfit lying around with a set of lenses.

All that list shows is which lenses can be mounted to a Canon EF body, with an appropriate adapter.

It says absolutely nothing about any of those necessarily being better than a Canon prime. Merely that they can be adapted to fit, should you wish to do so.

Sorry, Ddong, but I may have completely missed your point. I can see nothing here which suggests that Canon primes are bad.
