I had a canon 40d and used EP-EX15 eye piece and worked lovely with me wearing glasses does anyone know of anything for the 7D which will work the same, i got advised to get an ANTI-Fog eyepiece but it doesnt extend fare enough from the camera for me to see through

isit just me or is anyone else having the problem?

I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement, the EX15 does not fit according to various sources. The only option i came across was this one:

haven't tried it myself. though I did order one to try for my 5dii, it isn't here yet.

just received one of the aquatech's for my 5d, works great, Tight fit, doesn't change the view in the viewfinder, and does provide extra room. My only gripe is that it has AQUATECH emblazoned on both sides of the eyepiece - I was hoping that was only in the pictures, would be perfect without that part.

I just bought a Hoodeye from Hoodman for my 7D and I also got their new eyepiece for glasses. It is a much larger rubber cup that replaces the cup that comes on the Hoodeye. It works great to block light that normally comes in the side between my face and eyeglass lens.

How is it when switching between portrait and landscape? Looks like you'd have to turn it each time?

Canon does not make an eyepiece extender for the 7D; the rep at Canon 800 number said many callers ask about it, and he puts a suggestion in the box each time!

The Aquatech is the only solution. For those who don't like the logo on either side, I suggest a fine emery board from your wife's nail kit. That's what I did. Or some fine sand paper.

Yes, you do have to turn it, but it rotates quite easily. Its a minor inconvenience but outweighed by its usefullness.

Thanks. I saw that one and dismissed it pretty quick. I really like the aquatech one in function, but the aquatech logo is a bit obnoxious, gonna try removing that as suggested above. Nice to know there are other good options.

Another vote for the Aquatech. I don't really care what it looks like, as long as it does the job.
