If you are looking for the ultimate budget tripod, try this one: http://www.amazon.com …TF8&qid=1290869112&sr=8-1 (external link)

If you can spend a little more, take a look at this one:

I'd never buy a tripod online.. A tripod is something I like to see first hand..

Any tripod is better than none. Many budget tripods are not stable, difficult to adjust at the head, and won't last long. The adage is that you can have two of these three in a tripod, but not all three: lightweight, stability and low price. Pick any two.

Most people don't learn from all these "what about this cheap tripod?" threads, and end up wasting money on cheap tripod after cheap tripod. You're better off getting a second hand Manfrotto aluminum tripod on the Selling forum here, the selling forum at www.fredmiranda.com (external link) or on eBay. The first two are more reliable sites, but you can get a real bargain sometimes on fleaBay.

The SellNSend store (external link) on eBay is legit, as it the eBay Adorama store (external link). Look for daily specials on those two eBay store sites. They sometimes have stuff for almost 50% of what they sell for on their web store sites. I would decide on a tripod, a Manfrotto aluminum one, and search it on those two eBay sites, then compare prices at their standard web stores. The one for SellNSend is www.avidmax.com (external link).
