It was the Edinburgh fireworks tonight, which is held at the end of the Festival, attended by around 250,000 people, and is the largest fireworks display in Europe. These were taken from behind the castle on Bruntsfield links.

I wish I had a better camera back then because I love the architecture there... the city has so much character. I've been hooked on Ian Rankin novels ever since It was nice and clear while I was in the city for 2 days!
