Some of the birds in my garden today. All photos taken with a 7D & Sigma 150-500mm, tripod and remote shutter release.

Nice shot's but how did you get the coal tit to stay still, they are in and out of my garden in a flash :)

Thanks Mark. As you have observed the Coal Tits usually fly to and from very fast. This one was sat in the tree for a while, not really moving, so I was able to get a number of good shots.

I've just taken a Goldcrest in the garden among the snowy leaves. I hope that I got a good shot, as the light levels are poor at the moment. I will post any good photos soon.

very nice shots, i wish i could get some birds in my garden, ive tried putting feeders out but to many cats around, maybe i should SHOOT them instead

Thanks guinness138. Shooting with water is supposed to be effective.

Here are two of the better Goldcrest shots, taken handheld from indoors. There was no time to get the tripod. Not perfect but good considering the conditions.

Hopefully it will come back again.
