Had a chilly morning today and couldn't get my trusty assistant out of bed, so I didn't have a chance to use a reflector and I couldn't take the time to frame the shots as good as possible. I've been at these shots a few times; this is my third attempt (and first post with this location) Not the best, not the worst, I think.
Got my pooch to stay still for a long time with treats, but even they weren't enough to completely hold her attention. In the second shot she was peeking around me at a couple walking past. Kind of cute.
Both photos taken with these settings:
Canon T1i with Nifty50
Aperture 2.8 at 1/200 seconds
Touched up color, etc with Canon's software; no crop.
Pulling up the shadows (to lighten her face) seems to have given a blue tint to the pics -- gotta figure out how to use fill-flash or reflector, especially with how the grass likes to blow out.
Appreciate your comments, suggestions, or links for how-to take these photos. Thanks a lot,
