I have a neighbor who asked me to take some pics of her German Shepherd, so everyone meet Jazz, I'm not sure what to charge her or what the going rates are , so if anyone could help me out with that I would appreciate it , also any C & C would be especially useful to me as these are the first shots of this type I have attempted

Personally I think I would lose the collar and the yard. I would take it to a place with a nice background and take shots there....but that's me, Can't help you with the rates as I usually work on the barter system :)

Location wasn't a choice she wanted it done in her backyard

The collar is OK as She wants everyone to know the dog is her pet. I like the first one best of the three, the other two Jazz has landscape lights growing out of her head. Maybe if you could blur the background a bit it would help.

I agree with Eagle on the lights...watch your background a little more carefully...with the S1 you're going to have to get plenty of separation between your subject and background to get the blur more distinct. Also, I think the dog's head needs to be placed more to the right of the centerline of the picture in the last two. Hope this helps.

These are certainly very good first attempts.
